Need camcorder recommendations for music video.

I am completely new in the field of amateur film making. I have a few scripts written for a couple of short film clips (only a few minutes in duration) and also a music video. All 'movies' will not require quality sound as they will all have music playing over them. But I do want a camcorder that is top quality in picture. Particularly for the music video, I want it looking very professional. I'm not looking to spend much more than $2,000 and of course less if possible.


Any thoughts on what I should get?
