Need a short film script asap! (set in a hospital)

No longer need a script.

Thanks for all the replies and scripts I was sent - I think I've got something I can go with.

Hm-h! If you give me the storyline that you were expecting to get I can squeeze
out its full potential or change it a bit so that it will fully grab you, in a day.

OK here's the situation - I'm due to shoot a film in a few days but due to a dispute with the writer it looks like it won't go ahead - my naive mistake for basing the relationship on trust rather than a contract!

I have a hospital ward location for one full day - so don't want to waste this location. I can also film on the external grounds, and there are various other rooms we may be able to dress. But the ward is the best location. The location has various medical props and I have some nurses uniforms.

I also have a name actor (late 50s, a household name with numerous appearences on British TV) who may be willing to switch to the new project.

I'd still like to go ahead with a shoot on that day as I have a full crew - we've collaborated on numerous projects and know each other well - they're 100% up for making a film come what may.

I am looking for a script of a very high standard that fully grabs me. That being the case, the film we make will be guaranteed screenings (local cinemas), will be entered into festivals and will therefore be listed on the IMDB.

This is a low budget self-financed piece, I cannot offer any payment. It will be shot on HDV.

I'm looking for a short script, ideally not too dialogue dense. Genre? I'll consider anything.

Cheers!

Hmm...so you are looking for a screenplay for a short that will be based in a hospital, but the script can from any genre?
No offense, but don't you think that nailing down exactly what you want to MAKE is the primary decision you'd need to make, and then trying to find someone to write a script?
Also, since the budget is low, wouldn't dialogue have to replace the lack of effects and locations?

And finally,if you are not offering pay are you offering the screenwriter any front-end points,back-end points or a piece of any merchandising that may come from this?

The genre issue - my prefered choices would be comedy (dark, satire or something kooky), drama or something psychological. With very little time to put something in place, my hope was that a writer with a piece lying around would want to consider submitting it. We've got just days to plan something, so this is more akin to one of those 48 hour film festivals when you're given a brief and told to make something very quickly. Obviously it would be great to make something of quality. I was part of a crew who entered one recently, we just missed out on a prize but our film was trumped by some absolutely outstanding efforts.

The reason for low dialogue is the time to rehearse. I agree with your point though... length is of the essence, best if it's to the point and pithy.

Points and profits? I have no issue sharing. My offer is 25% of the net, split between the writer, myself, my co-producer and the production company (who are overseeing the contracts only).
