This is a video that I made with some friends for a contest. I´d like to know what you think of it, if I made any big mistakes, things to improve... I´m just starting in this, and I´m eager to learn how to be better!

The video ends at 3:25, after that it´s the "making of", which you can skip if you like.

I didn't finish it because I'm supposed to be somewhere and already running late! Buttt - you didn't cut it with the beat - which is pretty strong in the song - get some more B-roll, and cut with the drum beat to pick up the pace.

The editing is what needs the most attention to me. While there was no lighting that I saw and it looked like a hand-held handycam, every shot lasted too long and nothing was cut with any pace or even to the beat. I realize you were following lyrics but don't forget you are making a music video, not a movie.
If you shot the band live, you could cut the story line in half and make a watchable video out of it.

I can see what you´re saying. Too bad that I can´t change anything now...
I think the main problem was that I lacked a lot more footage. We only recorded one afternoon, and after I edited the video we could only get a few more shots because we were running out of time. As I was editing it I was tying to do it to the beat but it was imposible with what I had, so I gave up.
For next time I know I need more "pre-production" and shooting time, but it was my first attempt for a music video so I won´t be too hard on myself :P
 
never be hard on yourself. As long as you are always proud of your current production and embarrassed about the last one, you'll be golden.
Sure beats the dog outta my first music video lol

My thought about the vid is its so great that its your first! keep it up!
