Mic for a bar

I have a friend who owns a bar and wants to shoot short clips of bands for Youtube. I think the Kodak Zi8 is the camera, simple and cheap. The question is what mic to use. The bar has a really hot sound. It is loud but clear.
Anybody's thoughts.
