Matte Box Help .

I did a little short film for a company .

I did it for free , but they said they would send me some Matte Box that they can't sell and they basically dont use at all..

It is super cheap. I use Spider Steady rig which is super cheap as well . And It would be attaching the matte box to it , but I don't have rails and to be honest I have no idea how to attach those rails to the spider steady.

Is it even possible ?

What should I do ? Should I just throw the matte box away ?

You just need something like this:

The camera mounts to it, it mounts to the spider/tripod/whatever with the same 1/4" thread, then you can put the matte box on the rails.

Don't see why that couldn't work perfectly.
