Looking to Uprgrade From a Canon Vixia HF G10

Hello there,
Looking for a little help here. New to the site. I am a filmmaker that just finished my first feature doc.
Not plugging, but if you're interested you can watch the trailer to see the cinematography with the Canon Vixia HF G10 and a Canon 7D with two prime lenses. http://vimeo.com/58493295

The film is a Baraka/Man With a Movie Camera-inspired look at subcultures within Mississippi. (it's where I live)
That to say, I am looking to get another camera in the next few months, and I am trying to weigh my options.
I'm thinking, with the body, and maybe a good lens, I am trying to shoot for around the $3k ballpark.
I love the Vixia g10, but I want interchangeable lenses. I am also torn on the DSLR debate.
I would prefer it if the camera could be used for still photographs as well, but that isn't the selling point for me.
Here are some cameras I am thinking about, let me know what you think of these:
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cam
Panasonic GH4
Canon 7D
Canon 5D (i may be able to get lenses at a later time but tell me why you'd go with the 5D)

Looking forward to some discussion.
Thanks,
Vincent

Nicely done, Vincent. Makes me want to move to Mississippi :)

I started out with Canon and now I have the BMPCC and the GH3. I recommend you pre-order the GH4.

I think you'll like how much the latest GH cameras have in common with camcorders - a viewfinder that is actually useful for shooting video - a headphone jack - fast, quiet autofocus lenses (some with power zoom) - hours of continuous recording (instead of 12 or 30 minutes).

In addition to 4K resolution, the GH4 will give you 1080/96fps slow motion. This is one of the prime reasons I pre-ordered the camera - full HD slow motion on a camera in this price range is unique.

I moderate a GH4 group on Vimeo - you can head over there to see the latest examples of what this camera can do: https://vimeo.com/groups/gh4k

Good luck with your decision!

Bill
