I used to hold auditions at film school, which was free but I guess not publicly accessible. But, since then, I've held them in coffee shops (mainly because my films tend to be more talky than runningaroundy) and that's usually fine.

For The Flight of the Flamingo (crowdfunded feature) I just held them in my house. I guess that was ok because my house in nice and central and has a good space for actors (and i could make them tea and coffee, not that they ever want it) but that was fine. I know that some people will be like 'don't ever audition in your own house!' but all the actors in FOTF were auditioned in my house and they were all very good.

I am not sure about LOndon but here in Cambridge I use the Local YMCA as they have meeting rooms and i know you said you had no budget but they are very very cheap!

I use a community hall in Central London. Last time I had the space for free (amazing location) but don't expect to get it for free yourself.

I'd count for £50 for a day if the guy running it likes you and they don't have anything else on.

there is YMCA in Tottenham Court Road - can I ask how much did you pay? and did you contact the gym or via website?

Hey LDS

First time I used the YMCA it was a sunday and they charged me £20 for an hour but i pretty much had as long as i wanted in the room as long as it wasn't booked out for anyone else...

2nd time again was on a sunday and was free, as they knew me now.
I just called them up directly

Lukas - just PM'd you.

As a note, I'm looking for a bridge or possibly a spectacular rooftop - free, naturally. This is for a potential suicide scene. A bridge would be ideal - but it has to look absolutely fantastic.

Also, a wooded area would be excellent. Sound shouldn't be too much of an issue as there won't be dialogue for the wooded area although there will be dialog for the bridge.

Would you know anywhere in or around London?

So I PM'd you but if you want to collaborate, we can get stuff done cheaply or for free.

However, Hampstead Heath tends to operate a strict 'pay us money or p!ss off' policy, I was thinking something along the lines of common land. There is a little bit of common land I think I can use.

As for bridges, I need something seriously suicidal and spooky. Suicide Bridge in London is the obvious choice but it's ADR city as it sits over a main road.
