Lens for a VG10...?

I'm looking for my first prime and therefore thinking about a 50mm. However, with the 1.8 crop factor plus extended distance of the adapter, I am thinking about a 25mm give or take a mm.

My thoughts are for a Canon FD 24mm with adaptor. Something like this maybe... it's advertised at 125 quid - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CANON-FD-...s=63&clkid=3369176482722847427&_qi=RTM1089357

So if I could go for some cheap but good glass in terms of the FDs.

Alternatively, I could go for erm, don't know... something an absolute max of $375 USD but I'd prefer not to. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi gorilla o. b. - have you considered the NEX-mount £153 Sigma 19mm f2.8 and/or the £137 Sigma 30mm f2.8?

A little more than the eBay 24mm f2.8 Canon FD, but they are good value for money, and will give you autofocus and autoiris with your NEX-VG10 (without the extra cost or bother of an adapter).

Hope this is helpful

Bill

P.S. some people think the Sigma 30mm is the "Best of All Available E Mount lenses"!

P.P.S. here is a low light test of the Sigma 19mm on the amazing Sony NEX-FS100: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEWfwePOBlo
