Legal Film making Question/s

Hi there,

I just joined the Film Arts Foundation in San Francisco, and as membership you get 30 minutes free legal council.

Here are Qs I'll ask the lawyer:

-What constitutes a legally binding model release for documentaries (with a printed example)?
-How does one score/land/secure a legally binding Production Company name for a film company?

Any other good beginning film making questions I should ask?

just use this free consultation for them to proof read your release/agreement forms, forms that you would likely need:

Producers contracts
waivers
crew deal memo
usage permission agreement
meal agreement (if there's donated meal involved)
location usage agreement
actors agreement (if you have re-enactment, etc)
production company agreement (if someone is being hired to produce it for you)
composer/music rights licensing agreement
donor's agreement (if someone is going to donate $ for your project)
investor's agreement

since it's only 30 minutes, should probably create the forms up and give it to them for proofing :) Believe me, all these will be very handy :)

or here (do a search, someone posted a few links back in the past)

do a search for releases or contracts for film or movie... should give you a lot more

or music contracts

independent contractor's contract
