Jaxon Film Fest Announces Schedule for Upcoming Fest

Animation, narrative shorts, documentaries, feature length films, plus more, with a focus on Michigan films, the Jaxon Film Fest will be a full twelve hour celebration of indie film. Held at the Michigan Theatre, 124 N. Mechanic Street, Jackson, MI and the Carnegie Branch Library, 244 W. Michigan, Jackson, MI there will be something for everybody.

Jackson, MI, September 13, 2012 - The Jaxon Film Fest has announced its schedule with times for its upcoming film festival. With animation, narrative shorts, documentaries, feature length films, plus more, with a focus on Michigan films, the Jaxon Film Fest will be a full twelve hour celebration of indie film. Held at both the Michigan Theatre, 124 N. Mechanic Street, Jackson, MI and the Carnegie Branch Library, 244 W. Michigan, Jackson, MI there will be something for everybody. There will also be a chance to meet attending filmmakers.

Says director David W. King, "We were really excited by the quality of the films which were submited this year--our first. We are satisfied that there is something for everyone in the schedule of films which will screen at our first film festival."

About the Jaxon Film Fest
The Jaxon Film Fest will launch this year 2012 as south-central Michigan’s premier film and music festival. Held within approximately a forty mile radius of several key Michigan cities that extend like the ends on the spokes on a wheel, Jackson, Michigan is the hub.

With a focus on Michigan films, the Jaxon Film Fest will be also screen the very best of independent and foreign features, documentaries, shorts and students films from around the world, and is dedicated to bringing quality foreign and independent films to the state of Michigan in order to expose our audience to diverse cultures, ideas, and creative works.
