The screenplay I'm working on right now has a closeted gay male as a hero. I'm a cis-gendered straight white male, so writing this role requires a bunch of research. As of now, my research entails becoming an active member of a forum that caters to closeted homosexuals.
Thankfully, they're open to straights, and they totally let me ask questions. Here's the problem, though -- that forum is a support group, not a creative group. Nobody there is a screenwriter, except me. I'd really like to know the perspective of a gay screenwriter.
If anybody is interested in collaborating on my next project, even by just exchanging a few emails, I'd love to hear from you. PM me!
