Is the mexican song "Las mananitas" (typical song to sing on a birthday) a public domain (no copyright issues)?

For a definitive answer contact ASCAP but the copyright probably expired 75 years after the death of the people who wrote it. I believe it was written in the late 1800's so you should be ok to use the tune. But contact ASCAP and ask them.
