We just finished our second feature-length screenplay (yesterday), and sent it out to our readers. No doubt there'll be some refining to do, but I'll definitely be shooting this one in 2012.
Why didn't I just shoot the first one? We had offers for referrals to agents
, but I'm not interested in selling scripts. The odds of a sale are .001%, and frankly I want to keep Directing (who doesn't). Unfortunately, we didn't write the first script as a low-budget film, and it's currently well beyond my means to self-fund it. So, rather than run around trying to scrounge up cash (not my area of expertise), we wrote another screenplay that is specifically designed around a low budget. I've been in the VFX industry for 16 years, so I guess I've got that as a free-to-me line item.
I've been locked in my kitchen for two years (writing), and needed some friends. So, you'll be seeing me around here quite a bit.
Now it's time for boards and a breakdown.
