In addition to another project that I'm working on, I'm shooting a somewhat simple, yet complicated project. The project is being done on multiple levels. There are 2 sets of videos and books.
Video Set #1: These are interviews with people that claim to have had supernatural experiences and will be 100% free online, partially to promote the website and the DVD series. Here is the first video that I put out. I have a few questions.

#1) The quality doesn't look as good as the original file, which I understand because it was compressed to about 1/10 the size in conversion to .wmv, then YouTube's compression on top of that. However, I watched the video on my laptop and also a desktop. The quality of the video is vastly different between the machines. Is it the video or the visual settings on the computers causing this?
#2) For video set #2 I'm going for a History Channel feel with the interviews and they will be presented as a series of documentaries on various supernatural subjects. One thing I noticed is that the guests never look directly into the camera. I played around with moving the extra mic and having them look at that, but I haven't been able to get it just right. An example video is below. The very first guy, who I actually happen to know personally was completely taken out of context several times during the series and he's going to appear in mine, but I want to get the look just right. Where should I have the person look? Is it the angle of the camera, the focal point of the eyes, or both?

Thanks in advance.
