Interesting thing this "filmmaking"...

It's just something I have to remind myself of from time to time. People have been pointing a camera at actors, scenes, sets and stunts and rolling film for over a century. In terms of world history, that's a blip on the "big picture" timeline. There's so much to learn from what's been achieved thus far. We may have new technology on our side and at our disposal, but there is something to be said for reaching backward to move forward. This video from The Smashing Pumpkins got me thinking about film history and such things.

I remember this because it was ranked at no. 100 in Channel 4's list of the '100 Scariest Moments', from a few years ago.
