INDIE FILM TIP: Storyboards

yes this is very cool... I'm finding that storybording and pre-viz is very helpful tools. One of my current projects have people spread out over two states. We couldn't do what we're doing without storyboarding or previz.

Thanks for another awesome release.

When's the HOW DVD coming out?

We're hoping to have something formal to announce in the next month or so...

So far, no one seems to care about the extras, the commentary track, or the Indie Film Tips as extras either. If that's not a sign of how out of touch buyers are from their own market, I don't know what else is.

I'm shocked. Here, give them my name and phone number. As a consumer, they can call me and ask me what I want in a DVD:
  • Commentary track (Mandatory!)
  • Blooper reel (Mandatory!)
  • Indie film tips (I love these, but they're rare.)
  • Deleted scenes and outtakes (Mandatory!)
  • How to [insert something here] on a budget of $0.
I've never really cared for 'sit down interviews', I think they're a waste of filespace, you can get the same info from a commentary track. I'd much rather watch a 'making of' video.

Yeah, but twe have tons of awesome B-ROLL of the Behind the Scenes that sell a stoy or advice far better than a commentary with the movie playing can do. Showing that our plane interiors were a set we built is way way way easier with B-Roll showing that than just saying so on a commentary.

In a funny twist, a Canadian distributor called the other night & wants to buy exclusively our WEB DOCS, specifically the educational ones for film schools in the Great White North.

The Japanese DVD (no extras) will be available July 7th, 2006.
