The Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF) is an annual celebration of black cinema that cultivates established and rising filmmakers, writers, emerging artists from Southern California and around the world. The HBFF partnered with Indie.com to announce a contest that entails creating a 3 minute short film shot only with a mobile device (smart phone, iPad etc.). The winner will have their short film featured at the 2014 Hollywood Black Film Festival.

We (the cast & crew) are very excited that we had the opportunity to be apart of such a fun challenge. We had 30 days to write, produce and edit a 3 min. short film using a mobile device. AND we had to choose from 3 genres: Horror, Superhero & Sci-Fi. This challenge forced us as filmmakers to step out of our comfort zone and create something new and fresh.
"The Visitor" is a romantic sci-fi staring African Americans about a by chance encounter of the strange kind in the mist of Mara morning the loss of her one true love. We loved the idea of creating something visually stimulating and different. Please join us in this journey and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!! Please!
