www.amebia.com. aMebia is a FREE site where independent film directors can share their works without competing against "funny home movies."

  • The site allows you to upload full length feature films. It says up to 1 Gb but you can email aMebia if you want to upload larger files.
  • In order to upload content all you need to do is create an account..email and user name... real simple stuff.
  • Currently the site has several producers and television networks that use the site to look for new talent. It is a great avenue for filmakers to share their work as their films dont get lost in the clutter like on YouTube or Vimeo.

I am curious as to what everyone else thinks of this site!

This is yet another case of people refusing to admit that they're promoting they're own site.

It's an interesting website but now I'm wondering if there's something dodgy about it because you didn't come on here and say 'check out my site' but, effectively, tried to trick us on there...

He did say it was "my new site."

My thought is that it might be interesting in the future, but with so few films now, no one's going there to browse, so you'll have to send them directly to your film. That makes it no different than being on vimeo or youtube and sending a link to get seen beyond the crowds, with no additional traffic from the surfers. so, i'd be a little wary until it grows.
