Hello people
I'm Ben, and this is a complete noob question which I'm hoping you may be able to help inspire me?
Basically I'm currently finishing off my debut album which is inspired by Industrial, World Music, Melancholy, Jazz, House, electronic & found sounds.
Couple the inspiration for the album with some of my favourite visual influences(film & photography) Rut Blees Luxemburg, Harry Callahan, MC Escher, Guy Ritchie's Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels & A Clockwork Orange.
Take on board these & blend them with love of sepia, black & white. Old VHS style tracking interferance(you guys will correct my lack of knowledge) Sheffield in the UK(my home) & industrial cities such as Berlin, and we arrive with a few ideas of what I could do with a short film.
I'm thinking 10-15 minutes long with no acting/dialog just footage and snippets of my album overdubbed.
I've not thought about how to shoot, techniques etc... I do like old skool camcorder style footage & I also love the way that this is shot...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuDSNLi_mbc&feature=youtu.be&list=PLwm6LvGc5xq2ZN8bnxBtTIkhIUQ32YMwX
So basically I just thought you guys could help me draw up some ideas of a story & then how I can shoot it within a small budget to help promote my music!
I'm very aware this is a fine art & this is a whole new World for me to learn but I thought your could at least help me develop some ideas and provide some cool reference material to help me develop some ideas?
