Hi guys! I just made an account here and I guess I'll start to introduce meself or the like.
I'm jonah, but you can call me topit. Im 15, from Austin TX. I've been interested in filmmaking my whole life. When I was young me and my friends would run around with camcorders making silly films that really weren't interesting at all unless you were one of the people in the films. from fifth grade onwards, I delved into the art of brickfilming. This is essentially stop motion animation, done with Lego bricks. Yeah, I got pretty good at that, but again it was mostly improv. I never really wrote an involved screenplay. I've been writing all my life, like prose and even stage plays, but never an actual screenplay.
Now that I'm in high school, film is starting to look like a viable career path for me, so I'm taking it more seriously. This summer I aim to write a number of screenplays (one feature length and a few short films) for next year I will take some AVP classes at my school and then hopefully I'll submit some of what I write/direct to film festivals.
Uh
I like music a lot too, I play piano. I wanna write scores too :3 all my film ideas have music in them
I'll post some of my ideas somewhere I'd like some feedback maybe
