How to film theatres make their money?

Wouldn't it be tragic if all the movie theaters went out of business? I personally prefer to see a movie in the theater to anywhere else. I'm afraid for the theaters. If you don't like the audiences, don't go at peak audience times. If you don't like the price of concessions, don't buy the concessions. It's real easy to smuggle a bottled water and a Twix bar into the theater. If you don't like the commercials before the movie, show up later. We have it timed at our favorite theater. The movie will actually start 10 to 12 minutes after the listed show time. However, I like to sit directly in the middle of the theater, so my wife and I generally show up 15 minutes before the listed showtime. That way we get the seats we want. I just play solitare on my cell phone through the commercials. Oh, and if you think that movies in the theater cost too much, go to the matinees. I don't know what prices may be in other parts of the country, but it's $5.50 before 6pm in Grand Rapids, MI. $11 for the theater experience for two people is definately worth it to me and my wife. We go to the theater about once a week.
