campaign How This Movie Project of Mine with An Interesting Premise Could Help Me Get Out of My Current Homeless Situation

Hello users! My name is Omari, an 18-year-old soon-to-be filmmaker where at the time you read this, I am currently homeless right now, I have barely any money left, and I am using my laptop to write this paragraph as my last resort of getting help. However, one of my movie project I am currently working could get me of my current state where the premise of the film is that it takes place millions of years ago where the first two humans (one is male and the other is female) to ever exist built a large building using crunched up flint corn kernels placed inside a cotton during the first three years of human existence where inside it are thousands of unique and distinct places that are created from the building’s advanced technology of predicting people’s thoughts and convert them to a physical places, which is all possible thanks to its one out of trillion selection of random prediction generator that could accurately predict people's thoughts 99% of the time compared to the others. Because of this, this technology also allows it to provide more flexibility of the residents’ experience of not just the building but also the robot they control, like how it manages and controls certain parts of people’s robots they can’t control due to the maximum amount of body parts they can use to control each of them, create places of their previous and even soon-to-be memories they can visit either publicly or privately, and so much more. How the movie series will function is that each film will focus on different places where its uniqueness from the others help the films to have its own distinct style different from the previous, while still retaining the same feel of the first film. On top of that, each film will also be released at a free of charge price, with the reason for this is because the movie series will be funded entirely by fans and supporters that will donate at a monthly rate, allowing the films to be released to everyone without relying on box office grosses.

I’ve first come up with the premise back in 2023 where it originally has similar but different premise to it, initially being about how people create unique and distinct places inside the building manually by hand rather than using their thoughts to automatically create them, and I’ve even posted the pitch onto a Discord server back in April of this year. However, as various users criticize my project for various reasons like its inconsistency in its grammar, how ridiculous of the films to be directed by Hideo Kojima during the time of the post, and the fact the premise looks unpromising, I’ve temporarily taken a break on sharing the project and focus more on improving the film’s premise, causing it to be what it is now. I’ve been working hard trying to get the project made with me thinking about the film way more than other thoughts so If you like the premise and are willing to help get the project made, especially because of the current situation I am in, then go the fundraiser link here, (https://goget.fund/44HUMRf), and don't just donate, but also share the fundraiser to your friends and family. Until then, thank you for reading the entire paragraph and helping me get out of my current homeless state and see you later :)

Hi Omari! First of all I am heartbroken to hear about your situation, nobody should be homeless, especially someone as young as you.

Your idea sounds interesting, allthough a bit confusing if I’m being honest. You obviously have a vivid imagination, don’t ever lose that.

That being said, in the film industry ideas are a dime a dozen, everybody has ideas, therefore they are unfortunately worthless so to speak, meaning it’s pretty much impossible to sell an idea unless you are already an established and connected player in the business. It’s not until you have something tangible like a screenplay or even a treatment that you can start selling your project.

You wrote that the film(s) would be released for free and would be financed through monthly subscription, which is a noble idea but perhaps a bit unrealistic. Why would anybody pay a monthly price for just one movie if it’s out there for free to watch? Especially since movies of this magnitude often take years to produce.

In your fundraiser you didn’t say where the funds will be used. Do you have a production plan in place? It is extremely hard to crowdfund anything without an existing fanbase of people who trust you and like your earlier output.

On the crowdfunding page it says you live in the US. Do you go to school or do you have a job? Are your parents still around? I don’t live in America so I don’t know how it works there, are there any social workers you could go talk to regarding your situation? Perhaps someone from the forums who lives in Atlanta or close by could give some tips.

The harsh truth is that you can not realize a production of this size as your first ever project, and it will not be your ticket out of homelesness. You need a proper plan and a goal and realistic steps to get you to that goal.

You need to get your life in order before you can focus on filmmaking. You are still so very young and you have your whole life ahead of you. Hopefully some of is here can help you in your current situation somehow. :)

Hey dude! I've been homeless before myself. Lived out of my car in the mountains of Montana. Best advice I can give is to get yourself squared away before even thinking about shooting anything. Keep a journal instead and use that as influence for a film once you're stable.
