how do I import xh-a1 still images to my laptop?

I searched everywhere, youtube, google, here, manual. It shows you how to take still images, but how does one import it into a computer and save it as single pictures, like a digital camera? (preferably jpeg files) I am submiting it to a contest.

Attention all XH-A1 Users. You must buy a SD card reader to view your still images.

I purchased mine at Radio Shack for 10$. You can get them at Radioshack for as cheap as 4$!

Circuit City has them from 20-60$

When I went, Target had 1 for 25$. They may have cheaper ones, but they were all outl.

Kinkos Does NOT have them for sale, but they have them on their computers. So you can print your pictures at Kinkos.

Looks like you answered your own question. You realize that it isn't fair to those of us who had the correct answer for you to just butt in and answer without giving us at least 24 hours to respond? After 24 hours, you can answer your own question. If you do it before that, you're disqualified. ;)

FYI, most camcorders nowadays require a separate memory card from the video format. My HV20's take mini-SD card and my ancient Canon takes full size SD cards, I think. Also be advised many of these still camera functions won't quite reach the level of quality of a even a bottom level DSLR, but is certainly good enough for most situations, and reduces the necessary equipment for vacations and such.

LOL!!! Sorry Doug, I lost my patience; I was in desperate need of submiting the picture to a contest.

Oh.. I was under the impression that prosumer camcorders that can take still images were equivalent to professional cameras. Bad assumption, based on the price of the camera ><
