editing how do i find out the frame rate of a raw file?

I got given the worse mess ever, I need to find out what FPS the raw video file was shot at, any clues?

Opening the file in QuickTime and then bringing up the inspector window is a quick option, too.

Video info in vlc will tell you as well, including bit rate and other fun info. Not to mention it supports more video formats than quicktime.
