How did you get your job? (story)

so basically i want to hear all yall stories about how you got your film job. so if you can be so kind to tell me your stories on how you got your job, if you went to a film school, or a school studying a different major. whether your independent or in the popular/indie film industry. and if you are happy with what you are doing. thanks. looking forward to it. :)
 
Well I got my first major film job through school. A teacher distributed my resume and portfolio and I got a great offer. It was filming weddings. I hated it. It was physically hard and time consuming. I lost it a week and a half later after one project because they couldn't afford me. It was horrible.
