How can I write these scenes?

In my screenplay, I have reached a story part that goes like this: The villain has put a reward on the main character's head, so many people attack him all the way to his destination(not the final destination, just a secondary one). He has to fight some of them, but these fights aren't essential to the main plot. How can I write this on the page? Is there a technique I could use to show this more quickly or simply go along by writing a new scene each time the hero fights an attacking group? Thanks for helping me!:)

Is the script for you to produce? If so, write it however you want.
+1

Write it how you would want to see it. "I write, and it magically pops up on screen that way!"

Just change how the protag handles each fight, keeping the description brief, maybe no more than a few lines of sction description to communicate the gist of each conflict.

Any particular reason why the protag cannot learn something from each of the fights/conflicts culminating into something useful/meaningful at the final secondary destination?

Does any character die or get maimed during the fights, which lead to any turns in the plot? If not, I suppose you could just wrote that 'He fought them off and got away", and that's it. But perhaps readers will want more to get interested.

Personally what works best for me is just to get your characters talking. Put them in a situation or environment and just make them talk...see what happens. If it's boring change the situation, or raise the stakes (e.g. make time a critical factor, or revealing of something unexpected).

The main thing is you need to know your characters, you need to be able to actually see them. You won't know everything about them straight off but thats the fun! Know what they want and WHY they want what they want. Goodluck!
