I am moving to Haiti in two months (wife posted there) and plan to use the time taking documentary footage, small news pieces etc.
I am struggling with what camera to buy, but am close to settling on the HMC150.
That said, I am happy to listen to any advice.
It seems wedding events videographers love the HMC150, but I have seen far less from documentary filmmakers.
I am looking for something to take pictures I will use on the web, but also to sell small documentary pieces and hopefully to have a small business taking material for NGOs, UN agencies etc.
Is this a good camera. Are there other cameras people would suggest in the same price range?
I would like something that performs reasonably in low light; that I can take around relatively tricky locales; that -as far as is possible in this range - can take something a little more filmic.
