Hi everyone, composer here!

Greetings Indietalkers,

I'm George Wilson, a composer and recently graduated B.A. (Hons) Music Production student from the UK.

I have been obsessed with film and film music from an early age. Having been brought up on the likes of Spielberg/Williams and Zemeckis/Silvestri, the relationship between picture and sound has always fascinated me and I hope I can share this love with you all.

I suppose this is the point where I shamelessly plug my own work ;) I tend to focus more on the orchestral side of film music, having studied this extensively at university, however this is by no means the extent of my musical capabilities. I'm quite comfortable with the more modern, synthetic style of composing as well as more rock/funk influenced material as I hail from a performance background.

Feel free to have a listen to my portfolio.

I hope to learn more about the art of film making and network with film creators.

Thanks all

Hey there,

I listened to your tunes on soundcloud, these are really state of the art music tracks!

I especially liked "Demons and Angels" and "Prepare to Fight", since they have this Hans Zimmer feel of something modern, deep yet unexplored.

Maybe you should listen to Oscar Araujo´s "Castlevania Lords Of Shadow" soundtrack, since it has the same quality as the "Lord Of The Rings"-OST.

Hey Olaf,

thanks for your kind words, it's always nice to be appreciated for your craft :)

It's interesting which pieces people seem to like. The Hans Zimmer style tracks (specifically "Demons and Angels") aren't as musically complicated (and get a bit repetitive when composing) but it was a style I hadn't really covered in my other tracks so felt obligated to give it a go.

I've now had a listen to the Castlevania soundtrack. In a word. Epic! I wish I had a good choir sample library, it's definitely my next purchase.

Once again thanks for the response.

Here some more epic but commonly unknown soundtracks:

- Tron Legacy / Daft Punk

- Strange Days / Graeme Revell (bootleg only)

- THX 1138 / Lalo Schifrin

And the soundtrack I chose for my script, though I selected only songs for it:

;)
