Help on Getting Soundtrack from bought CD

I bought an original CD from coldplay and Im planning to use one of there song for my shortmovie, my question is that is it legal to use them I mean will I not be getting sued for this action?

Yes, you can get sued. Big time. The music industry has deep pockets and take you to court to protect their clients. Getting permission to use a Coldplay track likely will cost you $100k for a few seconds. If you going to play your film to a public audience, don't use stolen music.
