My name is Yeney Amaro and I work with View Film, the Film and TV production company behind the Emmy award-winning Taxicab Confessions on HBO, The Defenders on CBS, and most recently American Winter also on HBO.
This new online film community is called CrushedPlanet. It’s for people who want thought provoking creativity over commercialism. We recently watched Raul Fuentes film Todo El Mundo Tiene A Alguien Menos Yo, and enjoyed the thought provoking elements it narrates. We’d love for you to consider writing an article about our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that we’re using to raise the last bit of funds to officially launch CrushedPlanet, our new network where ground breaking artists can distribute their work to folks who are hungry for innovative, provocative, personal filmmaking. And on CrushedPlanet, a subscription site, the artists get the majority of the money from those who watch their films.
Here is a Preview Link to view our Indiegogo campaign, which we intend to launch next month: http://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/1dae6e49
We would love it if you’d be interested in writing about our site and/or doing a phone/Skype interview with our team including Emmy-winning filmmakers Harry and Joe Gantz (http://www.imdb.me/joegantz).
Our mission is simple: create a new home for emerging artists who want to do innovative, risk taking, personal work, while retaining all of the rights to their films. With CrushedPlanet, we believe there’s a better way forward for artists.
PS - We are looking for artists with a strong personal vision to send us their films! We’d love to hear any suggestions you might have.
Best,
