Hey everyone,
My name is Joe... this is my first post. I've been working in the television broadcasting industry for the past three years now, thanks to my father for the given opportunity. My father is a freelance DoP and I work alongside him as his soundman and grip. I've just recently started operating camera on multiple camera shoots and doing my own video gigs here and there.
I've been learning the trade now for the past three years and having some of the most amazing times of my life on the job. There is no place I would rather be than on set.
The thing is, I have never been a fan of television - I rarely ever watch TV and if I do, I find myself very disgusted with the intellectual quality of nearly all programming. I am not a film buff either, but I have always appreciated art and photography. After a chain of sparked interests and readings, I've discovered that filmmaking and cinematography is something I may want to pursue.
I've registered here with the intention to learn as much as I can regarding every aspect of this art, and hopefully to collaborate with others on film projects in the future.
