Has anyone heard of Fractured Atlas????

...Fractured Atlas is an organization that says it will give an artist fiscal sponsorship. Has anyone heard of this organization? Has anyone done business with this organization? They charge an application fee of about $75 and seem to have a more relaxed approach to sponsorship.

...I ask because I would like to not affiliate myself with an organization that is not what they claim to be or maybe isn't what grant providers like to deal with. I had never heard of them before a couple of weeks ago. They seem interessting, but I would like to know if anyone else has heard anything and get some first hand accounts if possible...

I've not heard of this organization before, so I really don't have an opinion. But it looks like you need to become a member at 75.00, THEN submit an application to their fiscal sponsership program. The 75.00 doesn't buy you representation it allows you to submit your project plan to them ( they may or may not choose to represent your proposal). It may be worth finding out as I believe many organizations which offer such a fiscal rep service DO charge some sort of 'initiation fee' (plus a % if your work gets funded).
