archived-videos Golden Goal

Here is the latest film I've completed, this one a tribute to Canada's gold medal win in men's hockey at last year's Olympics. This video is comprised almost entirely of amateur video I found of the game, or at least whatever was available on Youtube. I tried improving the audio somewhat, with an Ipod Touch app I installed to record my voice. Again, like some of the other videos I've put up here, this was based on a poem I wrote, in this case about the game.

It's also here on my Youtube page:

I do enjoy doing these type of films, but at some point I would eventually like to do more in-depth work, something more extensive than this. I know that when I was discussing my ideas here about the NASA film, someone here mentioned doing interviews with people on Skype, if I don't get the chance to travel (and I rarely get to). I wonder how that would work, or if it would work (like if I were to submit my questions to them in advance and they would record their answers). It could be a possibility, if I was unable to travel. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this film, and any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

well im canadian and i gotta say i loved that moment...the doc is good...the narrative is a bit dry....wud of been better in my opinion to use less narrative and more action shots to bring back the feeling of the win...

btw im glad u didnt show any of the closing ceremonies at the olympics...cuz they were prolly the lamest thing ever
