Nope, this thread isn't heralding the death of crowdfunding.
My friend Ben, who co-produced by web-series Spads, is raising money for his film Game Over. Which is set to start shooting pretty soon. They're only crowdfunding a portion of the budget, which means the figure should be perfectly reachable. Ben is a really interesting horror-comedy guy, for those are into that genre, and is a brilliant VFX artist (he won a sci-tech Academy Award several years ago for his VFX development work). It would be great if you'd consider chipping in a few quid (or your fine American dollars, European euros, Japanese yen...etc) or, if that's not possible, sharing the project. It's got some great people involved and if you're a fan of British comedies then you'll recognise a few familiar faces in the cast!
