editing Final Cut X - Exporting Footage

Hi Guys,

So I have just downloaded Final Cut X...

My question is do I need to also purchase "Compressor" or can I just use Mpeg Streamclip?

If I can just use Mpeg Stream Clip, what would the work flow be? and would I encounter any loss of picture quality?
