Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to capture an entire tape in Final Cut Express without it breaking it up into smaller clips. The tape is just one continuous piece of footage. It seems that in Final Cut Pro you can specify to 'turn OFF make new clip' option when capturing, but I've been through the preferences and cant find it on FCE.
There are a few tiny timecode breaks in the tape when the camera was stopped, but fce is breaking up clips right over lines of dialog! I am using the Capture Now option, rather the Log and Capture as I just want to get the whole tape in
