I'm co-teaching a 3 week filmmaking seminar at Appalachian State in lovely Boone, North Carolina and wanted to spread the word about it because we still have a few last minute openings for students, so anybody interested could check it out.

Film & Digital Video Workshop
A three week intensive study
June 13 - July 1
THR 3549 Fim/Video Workshop
9:00am - 5:00pm M-F ( 6 semester hours credit)
A hands-on film and digital video workshop to introduce students to the different concepts of film and video production. Students will become familiar with a variety of film and video production equipment.
WEEK ONE will cover the use of professional motion picture and digital video cameras, their similarities and differences, and basic lighting and sound techniques.
WEEK TWO will focus on actual production using 16mm and 35mm cameras, as well as 24p Mini-DV cameras and related production support equipment.
WEEK THREE will be devoted to the various aspects of editing, using conventional film editing equipment and Final Cut non-linear computer editing systems. A copy of the edited projects will be provided at the end of the course.
The class will meet from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday;
some evenings will be required.
Limited class size: 20 students
