Filming in Black and White

my film is going to have black and white elements in it. If its going to have black and white, should I worry about the lighting in the scenes?

Yes, you will still have to properly light things.. perhaps even more care needs to be taken when doing black & white, or you'll end up with an image that is either too flat or too contrasty.

You don't, however, have to worry about matching color temperature of the lights.
