Filming Horse Riding

Greetings, All-

I'd like to set up a shot to film a horse and rider, moving with them as the horse trots, canters, etc... Something like the screenshot I've attached. My road is on the other side of a tall fence, so I have to get the camera up high. The road is about 100 feet long, and I'm thinking if I get a few seconds of steady, useable footage, I'll be lucky...

I have a Subaru station wagon with rack, and was going to strap the tripod and camera (GH2) to that, with some padding for the tripod feet. I'll have to find the smoothest part of the road, and that may screw me right there.

Wondering if I can pull this off, so any ideas or tricks greatly appreciated! I'm not a camera man or D.P.

Much thanks in advance!
