FilmFu is a website to help film makers manage and produce their films.
I, Fouad Bou-Jaoude, am co-founder of FilmFu; a company created to deliver a Film Production and Management software to filmmakers of all forms. As an independent filmmaker I've seen first hand the challenges faced with producing a film and keeping everyone coordinated. It's a daunting and stressful task with few integrated tools to really keep it all together.
I know we can do better.
From independent filmmakers to studio productions, it's time that we had some betters tools to make our life easier - so that we can create, talk, and share our work with others. FilmFu is created with the independent filmmaker in mind, but with the studio producers in design. We want to let you work in a way best for you.
Educational Institutions can benefit greatly from FilmFu as well. By avoiding complicated licenses and installing software on multiple computers all over their facility, FilmFu makes it simple for a school to give students capable production software at an affordable price without a hassle.
Who is FilmFu?
To create the foundation for FilmFu we only need a small team. That is the simple elegance in creating and delivering a website application. After we have the foundation laid down we will be growing FilmFu to meet with the needs of the community.

So, What Makes FilmFu Special?
A typical FilmFu workflow for Pre-Production would look like this :
- Create a Project
- Assign any Screenwriters, Directors and pre-production crew
- Write a Script
- Auto-generate Scene Breakdowns from Script
- Modify and complete Scene Breakdowns
- List Shots and Storyboard the Scenes
- Create Schedule and Crew estimates
- Auto-generate preliminary Budget from existing information
- Modify and create multiple versions of Budgets for proposals or invoicing
- Share project and concepts with whom you need
When that is completed, you have the foundation of your films planning, and the most important. From there, most of the work is ready to go and you're looking at moving to Production and eventually Post-Production, where we support you by letting you create your own teams of people, messaging and notification, task assignments, scheduling, budget updates and tracking, saving receipts and more.
How will your contribution help?
Your pledge will cover the development costs over the next few months so we can focus completely on getting FilmFu out to you. We will also be using it to cover the first year of secure server costs so that we can get FilmFu well established in the film community as a company that protects your intellectual property. It will also go towards all forms of advertising to the film community so that more people can learn about how FilmFu can help them be more productive.
