Feature Length Script Question

I am currently writing a horror/slasher film. The way the script stands now it is 94 pages. Should I go ahead and try to knock out 26 more pages to reach 120 or would there be interest in the script at 94 pages if I wanted to sell it?

Is the script finished at 94 pages? If it's finished, it's finished. I wouldn't try to pad it out with irrelevant junk, just to try and reach a specific page number. Why do you feel it should be exactly 120 pages? If you go by the page per minute rule, you've got something around the 90 minute mark, which is pretty much ideal for a slasher.

Google is your friend.

You could have wasted a few days of your life writing 26 additional pages!

For spec screenplays (ie ones you wish to sell) a good target page length is 95 to 110 pages.

94 pages will be fine.

Size matters: Keep to 95-110 Pages For Spec Screenplays

Google is not the answer to everything. I can spend days looking at stuff on Google. I was looking for real world experience from a first hand source so I asked my question on a forum that is suppose to have industry professionals on it to get first hand knowledge.

I've got a script on my desk that is 79 pages. It does depend on how many boring bits that need to be cut. 79 Mins doesn't allow for anything to be cut where 94 mins does. It also depends on how you write your descriptions. If they're long you may be in trouble. If they're at the correct pace, you're right. If you're extremely brief, you may find yourself running too long.

If I were you, I'd focus on the marketability and (objective) quality of the script. Those are factors that will determine more whether the script will sell rather than the specific length.

If you're making it, don't worry about making it longer. I hate it when films have filler. Horror especially.

If you are writing it for someone else to make... 80 pages is a good minimum.

Thank you guys for the responses on the length. I am going to look at the script and see if there is any fat to trim. If there is I will go from there. The script is out of my budget ability I wrote the film how I would like to film it rather than what I can afford to film.

Since one option OP wants is to sell it, he should stick to the standard recommended spec screenplay length which is 95 pages to 110 pages max.
