editing FCP Log and Capture

R3VOLUTIONARY

I am having trouble importing video into FCP. I am using a card reader and USB connection. I think this may be the issue. I think it may only use firewire. Is firewire required to transfer files into FCP? I shoot in 1080HD on a Canon HF100 is this helps.

I haven't ever worked with USB based media in regards to FCP. I would venture a guess though that since it's on a card, you should be able to drag the files to your hard drive and drop them directly in the clip browser.
