FCP 7.03 to Motion 5 Aspect ratio

Soooo...... any solutions? It's a pain in the butt. I can go from one cut to the next looking seamless but the difficulty is when I want to cut into the middle of a piece of footage and add something.

I can't be the only guy in the Universe with FCP 7.03 and Motion 5 so does anyone have the settings for this?
