fastest PC editing set up?

I have an internal SSD, An External SSD that i can connect Via USB 3 and I have a External HDD Powered, I mainly use After Effects and PP so what would you store where and what would you use for cache etc..

The fastest editing system ever will be coming out within the next few months with the Intel i7 Octacore processor accessing more and faster memory than i7 Quadcores and the new Windows 10 will once again support touch screens and new editing software is being developed for it.

What's the hurry? WAIT for the new and faster hardware and operating system to be available.

Not so true. Most modern super computers will blast the crap out of that by a factor of... well lets say lots. I'm also assuming this isn't as relevant as the OP had hoped.

It depends on your system and setup. The fastest would be setting up a ramdisk, though there'd be little reason to do this. Out of an internal SSD and an external SSD, assuming both drives are about equal in performance, the internal will usually perform better. It's just not as simple as that.
