I just uploaded a new Sci-fi short to Youtube that is a fan trailer to a sequel to the 1984 film The Last Starfighter. Shot in Charleston, SC and on a shoe string budget, this serves as a tribute to a groundbreaking sci-fi film that is often overlooked.

As a fan of the film and VFX, I'm familiar with the source material, but extra grit & grime/wear & tear to the Gunstar would be a nice update from the original. Otherwise, the CG was nice and your use of stock bg plates worked well. I particularly liked the one from inside the fighter jet. I also was wishing for some indication of ship & battle sounds. Nice job!
 
Thanks for watching! The condition of the Gunstar was talked about a lot. What made us decide to leave it was a trip I took to a military museum in Charleston. All the old planes were repainted and restored. I felt like that should carry over to our Gunstar as it had a historic past. But I do understand where you are coming from.
