We are pleased to inform you, that it is now possible to submit your movie to the Eighth Edition of Euganea Movie Movement, International Festival of Short Films and Documentaries. The International Festival will take place in the Euganean Hills region, in Este and Monselice (Padua, ITALY) from the 3rd to the 19th of July 2009.
The 2009 Festival Edition is divided in five sections:
Italian Short Film Competition:
Short films produced in Italy after the 1st of January 2007, of any kind, format (video, film) or subject, up to a maximum of 30 minutes length.
International Short Film Competition:
Short films produced outside Italy after the 1st of January 2007, of any kind, format (video, film) or subject, up to a maximum of 30 minutes length. Short movies in any language except English must have English or Italian subtitles.
International Short Animation Competition:
Short animation films produced in or outside Italy after the 1st of January 2007, of any kind, format (video, film) or subject, up to a maximum of 30 minutes length. Short movies in any language except English must have English or Italian subtitles.
International Documentary Competition:
Documentaries made in or outside Italy after the 1st of January 2007, of any kind, format (video, film) or subject, up to a maximum of 60 minutes length. Documentaries in any language except English must have English or Italian subtitles.
Works from Veneto competition:
Documentaries and shorts made by authors from the territory of Veneto, of any size-format (video, film), not longer than 30 minutes for the shorts, not longer than 60 minutes for the documentaries. The subject is free and the works must have taken place after the 1st of January 2007.
The EMM 2009 pre-selection Committee will appoint a qualified Jury, that will choose the best work of the four festival sections:
• EMM 2009 Best Italian Short
• EMM 2009 Best International Short
• EMM 2009 Best Animation Short
• EMM 2009 Best Documentary
• EMM 2009 Best Veneto Work
The audience can also vote their favourite work, chosen between all the short movies. The work chosen will receive the Audience Award.
The entry-form to partecipate must be filled in on-line, following the instructions that you will find at the Festival's website http://www.euganeamoviemovement.it.
Then, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your entry-form in pdf file. Please print it, sign it and send it with the video of your work.
The preview-copy of your work for selections must be in DVD format (possibly) or in VHS.
Works in languages different from English or Italian, must have English and/or Italian subtitles. The deadline for sending is the 13th of March 2009.
