sound-fx Effects for narration track

Anyone ever heard of applying the haas effect to narration to "beef" it up? A little dash of extra compression at the mixing stage?
I'm now working on mixing the sound for my Mockumentary parody of Life After People.

Personally I would not do a Haas effect. Some light compression would be okay, but I try to get the narration voice right when recording it. And, of course, there is the voice itself - the pacing, delivery and mic technique.

The "Life After People" voice sounds like it is recorded moderately close with a small diaphragm condenser with some very light compression added in post. (Personally, I almost never compress voices when recording, only when I mix.) The delivery is nice and smooth, not much in the way of dynamics.
