Editing Laptop

Okay so this is the story, I'm heading to University the fall and was looking at laptops. Since I'm upgrading my camera to a new prosumer one (Kinda set on the Canon XA10) I'm going to need a editing setup. So I'm just looking for some feedback about the laptops I'm looking at or suggestions for other laptops around the same price.

Like I said I've been looking around for a few weeks and came upon a few, but one that I really like:

One that I really like is an Asus G73JH. I think the A1 is a little too expensive.

I saw one on Video Maker's site, and it looks pretty good, and I'm a big fan of TOSHIBA:

I'm really not sure, I want something around $1,200. I want a laptop becuase I'm going to be in University and I'd like to have a something portible. And iDont want a mac, they are great computers but looking kind of expensive for me right now. I'm leaning towards something with Windows, that I can possibly use Avid Liquid on, can you use that on a Mac?

Anyway thanks for helping, I figured the people of this community would be able to help me find a great editing laptop aswell as keeping it in budget!

Thanks!
