DVD's and MiniDV

Greetings everyone,

With only the resolution of standard TV how do you guys go about making DVD's that can be played (and look descent) on a monitor full screen? I suppose I would need to blow the whole thing up with some form of fractal software or shoot HD, yes?

MiniDV. I suppose the problem is a lack of resolution (hence when I try to play a home-made DVD full screne it looks like crap since I have my monitor set at 1024x768). MiniDV I suppose just can't look good on the computer without some serious modifications.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I'm currently using the MPEG2 encoder that is native to Premiere Pro with variable bit rate. I can't think of anything I could be doing wrong though. Do you have the same problem, or does miniDV look fine fullscreen for you (and what is your resolution)?
