DVD/Blu-ray/Videos of Directors directing actors?

Hi indietalkers,

Does anyone know of any good videos or special features on Blu-ray and/or DVD that show the Director interacting with the actors, either on set or in rehearsal?

I've seen a couple here and there, but they are only snipets from special features (the Winter's Bone Making Of featurette comes to mind)

Thanks!

That's been something I've been meaning to do for ages, along with watching all the extended editions as well.

Is there much showing Jackson's interactions with the Actors?

Go on Youtube and find Jackson's production diaries for the Hobbit. There's hours of footage of him working with actors and shooting the film, those were the best behind the scenes pieces of footage I've ever seen.

I don't believe they're on the DVD's because he shot them during the filming and released them during as well.

Are these the ones you're referring to:

"The set does not, however, include the 127-minute, ten-part Video Blog series, which is exclusive to the March 2013 2D and 3D releases of the film's theatrical cut."

From the above mentioned March 2013 Theatrical cut:

Video Blogs (HD, 127 minutes): Ten Jackson-helmed online video blogs are available, documenting (but primarily teasing) the production of the then-upcoming theatrical release of An Unexpected Journey. Two hours of content is much appreciated, don't get me wrong. But, excellent, informative and entertaining as they are, the blogs are bound by rules full-fledged production documentaries have the freedom to discard at the outset. Arriving before the film debuted, the blogs' chief goal was secrecy, making them more of an extended two-hour promo for the film than anything more extensive. Entries include:

Start of Production (April 14, 2011)
Location Scouting (July 9, 2011)
Shooting Block One (July 21, 2011)
Filming in 3D (November 4, 2011)
Locations Part I (December 24, 2011)
Locations Part II (March 2, 2012)
Stone St. Studios Tour (June 6, 2012)
Wrap of Principal Photography (July 24, 2012)
Post-Production Overview (November 24, 2012)
Wellington World Premiere (December 14, 2012)"

Is it those ones or are there more complete ones that were released after the movie was released?
